By plane
The International Airport of Porto Seguro is one hour away by car.
The cost of the transfer from the Airport is R$ 150,-.
A taxi to the ferry - where you can take the bus to Trancoso - costs around R$ 20,- .
By car
From Eunápolis (that lies on BR 101) by way of BR 367 that joins Eunápolis to Porto Seguro on Km. 33, take BA 001, the route to Trancoso. It is a total of 80 kilometers.
From Porto Seguro, crossing the ferry to Arraial D´Ayuda, by way of route BA001, it is 35 kms.
The road turns into Trancoso´s Main Street. Go on straight, until on your left side you will find Elba Ramallo school, turn left on the school and turn right on the first street, go straight 100 meters and you will see the sign of the Posada Samambia on your right side.
By bus
Regular buses to Trancoso are available from the bus terminal (lies 500 meters from the airport of Porto Seguro) and, more frequently, from the ferry Porto Seguro – Arraial. Get off the bus at Elba Ramallo school.
One piece of advice: Trancoso has got no Bank and most places do not accept credit cards. So bring enough money or you will probably have to go to Porto Seguro to go to a Bank.
